This is a new program, started in 1999.
Admissions requires a strong undergraduate math major with some applied mathematics and/or computing background. Graduates are expected to take problem solving positions in industry.
Program builds in a mini-MBA (10 credits) involving basic finance and communications. This mini-MBA is available to a number of professional masters programs within the university. Graduates of the program should understand not only the mathematics needed to solve business problems, but also the financial considerations involved with these problems.
All students are supported via Teaching Assistantships
