Students either have a mathematics degree or a degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering). Most students plan to use the degree to teach mathematics at a community college. A few use it to obtain jobs (or promotions) in industry, and a few pursue doctorates.
The viability of the program is greatly enhanced by the policy of offering all graduate courses at or later than 4 PM, to accommodate working students.
