Demographics
MSCS currently enrolls 150 graduate students in one of four degree programs MS in Mathematics, MS in Information Sciences for Industry, DA, and PhD in Mathematics. About half of these students are pursuing doctoral degrees; the majority of the MS students intend to pursue a PhD. Women comprise 42% of the PhD students and 24% of the MS students.
Over half of our graduate students are domestic, representing 13 states throughout the US. About 46% are international students representing 14 countries throughout the world.
In addition to these programs, MSCS offers a terminal MS degree in the Teaching of Mathematics (MST). This program enrolls about 35 students with two-thirds pursuing the Secondary Education option. More than half of the MST students are women.
