Graduation
You must electronically file an "intent to graduate" by the posted deadline for the term you intend to graduate (see below). One commencement ceremony is held during the month of May each year for students meeting the graduation requirements during the preceding Spring, Fall, or Summer terms. Students from MSCS will attend the ceremony held in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
To file an Intent to Graduate, log into the University portal at my.uic.edu. In the "Academics" tab of the student part of the portal go to the "Records" sub-tab. Follow the links to Declare your Intent to Graduate. More detailed information is available from the Graduate College website.
Refer to the Electronic Theses and Dissertations for instructions on submitting your defended/approved thesis to the Graduate College.
Filing Deadlines for Thesis Submission and Graduation
Summer 2012:

Fall 2012:
