Spring 2007 CPS-UIC Math Forum

(an expansion of the former Algebra Symposium)

We will continue giving teachers a chance to interact and share experiences with one another around a common theme related to high school math teaching. Please save the dates for these independent workshops. Come as a group for some departmental team-building. There are stipends and CPDU credits. Sign up as noted below to get detailed announcements or to let us know you're coming. Some past topics:

  • Mnemonics (PEMDAS, FOIL, etc.) and Their Impact on Student Success
  • Real Life Situations, Modeling, and the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra

  • Expectations and Assessment
  • Teachers' Moves and Decisions and Students' Understanding
