ComEd Scholarship

About the ComEd Scholarship:

  • At most five, $2000 awards given each Spring for the following academic year.
  • Recipients will be recognized as ComEd Scholars, will be willing to meet with ComEd representatives, and meet with other ComEd Scholars on campus

Application Deadline: March 2, 2009

April award announcement letter to recipient, followed by scholarship award presentation at a MSCS department tea.

Eligibility:
  • Must be a currently enrolled, full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science.
  • Must be an Illinois resident.
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA to qualify for application. Renewal requires candidate in good academic standing.
  • Completion of 6 or more credit hours at UIC of MSCS coursework at the Math 180 or above level.
  • Preference is given to students of Latino background.
  • Previous ComEd Scholarship recipients may re-apply, but preference is given to first time ComEd Scholarship applicants.

How to apply:

Submission of a complete application to 322 SEO by 4pm on March 1. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.
