EXAMS

Mtht 420

There will be three exams for this course. In the future, I may publish sample exams and solutions at this location. All exams will be open book, open note. Programming may be required as part of the exam.

The first exam will be given on Week 6 of the semester, 2/13/01, and will last one hour. A summary of the information covered on the exam is available at http://www.math.uic.edu/~burgiel/Mtht420/midterm1.html.

The second exam will be given on Week 11 of the semester, 3/27/01, and will last one hour. A summary of the information covered on the exam is available at http://www.math.uic.edu/~burgiel/Mtht420/midterm2.html. The exam will probably have a few short answer questions, a "find the errors" problem, a "predict the output of this pseudocode program" problem, and an essay problem.

The final exam will be given at 5:30 PM, 5/1/01. It will be preceded by a brief question and answer session. The exam should be about 90 minutes long, but students may take up to two and one half hours to complete it.
