Peter J. Eccles, An Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning, Cambridge University Press.
Course Info:
This course is an introduction to the language of mathematics and, especially, to writing mathematical proofs. The mathematical ideas needed for the proofs that you write will either be very familiar to you, or will be introduced in the class.

Mathematical proofs are meant to communicate ideas to other people. Consequently the written proofs will be graded on the quality of the writing as well as the correctness of the mathematics.

Here are our notes on sizes of sets.
