- In the Spring of 2010, I participated in a series of workshops in climate modeling at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics at UCLA. It was such a rewarding experience that I made the image on the left as a parting gift.

- From September 2009 to March 2010, I did a stage de recherche under the direction of Jean-Michel Ghidaglia and Frederic Dias at the Centre de Mathematique et de Leurs Applications at the Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan. This research was done in the field of computational fluid dynamics. More specifically, I worked on the boundary conditions of a finite volume solver for multi-phase, inviscid, compressible flow, and used the improved solver on a problem of faucet flow. A summary of my work can be found in this pdf (1.6M). My results (along with results from a similarly-posed incompressible problem) were presented in this paper at the proceedings of the 2010 International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference in Beijing.

- In 2008, I attended the Climate Change Summer School at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, California. This was a three-week introductory program on the mathematics of climate change. Click here to see some nifty results I found while working with the Lorenz attractor during this program.

Many thanks go out to the National Science Foundation, ENS-Cachan, MSRI, and IPAM, as well as to the numerous professors, peers, and staffpersons who referred me to these opportunities. I would be happy to provide resources and help to students who are interested.
