Main Question:

What is the largest prime number you know?

Writing Assignment

Write a brief paper telling the largest prime number you know. Tell the reader precisely the information you know about this number and how the reader can reproduce this information.

Submission

The writing assignment should be submitted via e-mail to jlewis@uic.edu. If you need to use mathematical notation such as exponents, please use "^" (e.g. write 2¹⁰ as 2^10).

Please submit a first draft for comments before Friday, October 11, 1996.

Extra credit

If you use the World Wide Web for your research, include the markup language for the hypertext links that you use.
