Overview

This is a course on proofs. It is a gateway course to the mathematics major. Nearly every other course in the major will rely on the ideas we will discuss in this course. To succeed you will need to

Do homework

Ask questions and participate in class. Come to office hours. Work with others.

Grading

there will be two midterms. Each will count for 20% of your final grade. The midterms will be on February 15 and April 4.

The final will count for 40%.

Quizzes will count for 10%

The homework counts for the remaining 10%.
