I heard a big noise around 7:15 am this morning, sort of like an explosion. I went out and found Tank D8 with dents all over the top. There was ice on many parts of the tank. I think the ice had been there a few days.
I thought I heard a creaking sound when I drove in at 6:45 am. I couldn't be sure, though. You notice how when it gets cold, you can't tell men from women up here. Come to think of it, it's hard to tell men from women in the summer up here.
Oh, when that person from HQ called, they asked about airports in the area. There's an airport not more than a few miles from here, but if they think an airplane did this, they're a few fries short of a happy meal. No airplanes are allowed in the air until 9:00 am. The mayor likes to sleep in. He's a lazy old cuss. He lives out near there and he banned all flying until he wakes up in the morning.
