Become a Member of MER

The MER Forum first came on the mathematics community scene in 1988. From its beginning, MER has been helping mathematicians become informed about a full range of educational issues through publications, programs at professional meetings, and national workshops. MER's grassroots persona has made it a natural place for mathematicians to come for making collegial connections, finding out about educational resources, and having conversations to explore possibilities for strengthening education in mathematics.

During the last 18 years, the mathematics community has become increasingly aware of the importance of effective mathematics education to the well being of the mathematics enterprise. We believe that the MER membership is a vital group in building sound mathematics educational programs.

We would welcome your membership in MER. Membership includes the MER Newsletter* published in the spring and fall, special issues of the MER Newsletter on highlighted issues, and regular email postings via MER eNews**. Your participation in MER is valuable in encouraging informed, energetic, and creative efforts in education within the mathematics community.
