Mathematics with secondary teaching option

For detailed information see the program's own webpage at

Students come with a B.S. or B.A. degree in mathematics. Students are intended to be or are presently school teachers.

  (1) We do not have an interdisciplinary program. However, our Education college requires their master students major in secondary mathematics education to take 6 to 9 credits graduate courses in our department. We estimate about 30 to 40 such students take our graduate courses each year. (2) We do have students, who are current high school teachers, enroll or completed our master program in pure mathematics.
