The Matrix Reloaded

a good plot of the movie more pictures

I saw the movie Thursday (first day of nation-wide play) in a theater in Michigan Ave. I was happy I could see the movie on the first day. (Although, there was also a play the night before at 10:30!)

The second installment, as Elvis Mitchell of New York Times says "...is a blend of Hong Kong action, comic books, anime, philosophy and the New Testament and has the feel of a holding pattern."

I believe "Reloaded" has more to say about what the Matrix is and the philosophy behind the story. But it lacks a story. This fact, coupled with the great and stunning special effects of the movie push the interesting picture of the Matrix's architecture to the corner.

Mark Caro of Chicago Tribune, giving only 2 stars to the movie, writes '"The Matrix" felt new, combining comic books, martial arts, metaphysics and cyber-science-fiction in a way you hadn't seen before. Now the Wachowskis (directors) are trying to extend their provocative arguments about people vs. machines and free will vs. preprogramming, but the effort has sucked the life out of their storytelling.'

"Reloaded" is worth seeing once even if only for special effects.

by the way, we had to wait in the line for 20 minutes to get the tickets, eventhougth there was a play every 20 minutes.
