You must electronically file an Intent to Graduate form by the posted deadline for the term you intend to graduate. A commencement ceremony is held during the month of May each year for students meeting the graduation requirements during the preceding Spring term. Starting Fall 2015, a ceremony will be offered in December for students graduating in the preceding Summer or Fall term. Students from MSCS will attend the ceremony held in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
To file an Intent to Graduate, log into the University portal at my.uic.edu. In the "Academics" tab of the student part of the portal go to the "Records" sub-tab. Follow the links to Declare your Intent to Graduate. More detailed information is available from the Graduate College website.
