# Bousfield, Coskun and Howard named AMS Fellows

MSCS Professor Izzet Coskun and Emeritus Professor Pete Bousfield and Bill Howard have been named Fellows of the American Mathematical Society.

The Fellows of the American Mathematical Society program recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics.

Bousfield was citied for contributions to homotopy theory and for exposition.

Coskun was cited for contributions to algebraic geometry, and for mentoring.

Howard was cited for contributions to proof theory and constructive foundations of mathematics.

Twenty one current and emeritus members of the department are Fellows of the AMS.
