Combinatorial Heegaard Floer Link Homology
Abstract: This talk will be an introduction to the combinatorial definition of Heegaard Floer Link Homology, due to Manolescu, Ozswath and Sarkar.
This link homology was originally defined in term of contact structures on high dimensional manifolds associated with a Heegaard surface for the three sphere.
The homology determines the genus of the link and so a combinatorial definition gives, in principle, an algorithm for finding the genus of a classical link in the three sphere.
