Quantum Link Invariants
Abstract: Continuing from previous time. We have discussed Morse diagrams, Tangle Category and functors from Tangle Category to Module Category. We have discussed how morphisms are represented by matrices and how the compositions of morphisms correspond to critical point decompositions of the Morse diagrams. We began to illustrate the matrix structure behind the bracket polynomial (Jones polynomial) and we will continue with this, showing also how to construct the Homflypt polynomial as a quantum link invariant.
