Abstract: Continuing. We have been studying a solution to the Yang-Baxter Equation that is valid for any index set and an associated state summation for oriented knots and links. We will discuss the invariance of this state summation under Reidemeister moves and how it gives rise to models for the Homflypt polynomial. We also discuss relationships with Hecke algebras and the beginnings of Khovanov-Rozansky homology.
