Calculating a Categorification of the Arrow Polynomial
Abstract: Dye, Kauffman and Manturov study a categorication of the arrow polynomial invariant of virtual knots and links in: arXiv:0906.3408 "On two categorifications of the arrow polynomial for virtual knots". This talk will (continuing from last week) discuss the mathematics of the arrow polynomial categorification and the operation of a computer program to calculate this categorification. Examples will be discussed (e.g. the Kishino knot) where the arrow categorification detects knottedness but the mod-2 Khovanov categorification (for virtual knots) does not.
