Abstract: Abstract: Research on the use of formative assessment suggests that it has the potential to lift student achievement in classrooms and across school systems. During this session participants will explore some of the hidden inherent challenges that problematize the use of formative assessment for teachers as well as promising shifts in practice that can support more effective use of formative assessment strategies.
