Here is how the 100 points for
Discussion will be
assigned in this lecture section:
- 40% MyMathLab online assignments
- 20% written hw, these are the special assignments that will be
assigned before each exam.
- 30% written quizzes to be given in Thursday's discussion by your
TA
- 5% TA anything grade: possible attendance, extra hw, class
exercises etc. determined by your TA.
- 5% random lecture attendance
Makeup Policy for Quizzes:
There are no makeups for quizzes. The three lowest quiz scores will be dropped at the end of the semester. This is mostly to cover
valid reasons for missing the quiz.
Makeup Policy for Midterm Exams:
There are no makeups for midterm exams. If you have a valid excuse, then the percent score for your final exam will be used for
your percent score for the missed exam. However, for this to take place you must make an appointment with me (not your TA) in person
(not by email) before or immediately after the exam to take the same exam that the rest of the class took. You must demonstrate
that you can pass the exam.
