Khovanov Homology and Tangle Cobordisms
Abstract: This talk has no prerequisites other than elementary knot theory (Reidemeister moves) and the notion of chain complex and
chain homotopy. We discuss Bar Natan's result that Khovanov homology can be formulated in terms of the chain homotopy classes of
abstract complexes in a tangle cobordism category.
