Index and Alexander Polynomials for Virtual Knots
Abstract: This talk will introduce the Affine Index polynomial and the 0-th order Alexander polynomial for virtual knots.
We will give a new proof of Blake Mellor's Theorem showing how to extract the Index polynomial from the Alexander
polynomial. And we will give numerous examples of interesting phenomena.
